bismillah

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha noodiya li(l)ssalati min yawmi aljumuAAati fa(i)sAAaw ila thikri Allahi watharoo albayAAa thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoon(a)

O’ you who believe! When the call is made to the Salat on Friday hasten to Allah-SWT's Zikr and leave off bargaining. That is better for you, if you know.

(62:9)

Faitha qudiyati a(l)ssalatu fa(i)ntashiroo fee alardi wa(i)btaghoo min fadli Allahi wa(o)thkuroo Allaha katheeran laAAallakum tuflihoon(a)

Then when the Salat is ended, disperse on the land and seek of the Grace of Allah-SWT, and remember Allaah-SWT much; perhaps you may thrive.

(62:10)

Waitha raaw tijaratan aw lahwan infaddoo ilayha watarakooka qaiman qul ma AAinda Allahi khayrun mina allahwi wamina a(l)ttijarati wa(A)llahu khayru a(l)rraziqeen(a)

And when they behold merchandise or sport, they flocked thereto, and left you standing. Say you-SW: What is with Allaah-SWT is far better than sport and merchandise, and Allaah-SWT is the Best of Providers.

(62:11)

In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

The believers are instructed to suspend all mundane business as soon as they hear the Azan for Friday Salat, and go into the masaajid duly prepared for it.

Rules of Friday

Friday is a sacred day for Muslims. This Salat is offered in place of the usual Salat-az-Zuhar. It is obligatory for all except women, patients and travellers; who can offer Zuhar as usual. When Azan is called on Friday, all temporal business stands prohibited. Friday Salat, according to religious scholars, can be offered in localities with shops or Government offices, school, post office etc. Details may be seen in books on Fiqh. This Salat, along with its pre requisites and ingredients, has been termed as Zikr Allaah-SWT by Quran. Zikr, as described here, includes oral as well as practical Zikr. In both cases, it is essential to have a devoted heart. It is the best course of action for believers. Allaah-SWT asks them to resume their business and earn their living once they are through with the Friday Salat.

Zikr-e-Qalbi

The believers are being ordered here to do Zikr much even while engaged in everyday work. Worldly pursuits normally require talking and it is not practically possible to remain engaged in oral Zikr at all times. Much Zikr is possible only when the heart in initiated. It is a great blessing if Allaah-SWT gifts someone with Zikr-e-Qalbi, besides hymning His-SWT Praises which must also be carried out otherwise.

In the beginning, the Friday sermon used to be delivered after the Salat. One day, a trading caravan stopped at Madinah. Things of everyday use were in short supply and some people hurried away for purchases while the sermon was still on, assuming that Salat was over. Allaah-SWT did not approve it since the Friday sermon is equivalent to two cycles of Salat. After this incident, the Holy Prophet-SW shifted the sermon to precede the Salat, a practice that is followed till date. Allaah-SWT asks the Holy Prophet-SW to tell the believers hurrying for merchandise while he was delivering sermon that Allah-SWT's rewards are much more valuable than material provisions. Allaah-SWT is the Best Provider of livelihood. Therefore, the worships must not be rushed through due to the apprehension of losing out on earnings. All elements of the worships must be performed wholeheartedly.
